Nicki Minaj Talks 'American Idol' with Jay Leno

Last night, Nicki Minaj stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to discuss new role as judge on American Idol and plans for the new year. Dressed in a very formal outfit, Nicki also touched on her acting roots, childhood dream job, and love for Country music.

When asked about her publicized "fight" with fellow judge judge Mariah Carey, Minaj answered: “It definitely isn’t a fake feud,” said Nicki, who called the pop diva one of her favorite artists. “A lot of it starts out that we’re just joking, but we’re passionate and we’re both crazy. And then sometimes it just goes rarrr!”

The new season of American Idol premieres this Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
