In a phone interview with Fader, the “June” rapper said, “It’s not going down. I don’t know where the rumor stems from. And I don’t know how this keeps coming back up—this isn’t the first time. But I would never play with the fans like that and act like something’s about to happen and it’s not.”
Rumors swirled earlier this month that the Virginians were hitting the studio together, but Pusha T swiftly put those assumptions to rest in an interview with DJ Heat.
“I never leaked anything about the Clipse. I didn’t do that. All I did was tell everybody I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad. And then there was a leak that happened and other people just found out that other people were down,” King Push said. “But I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t do that. So, right now I’m on my Pusha T right now. I don’t wanna mislead nobody, BUT… we just working.”
Adding more context to the My Name Is My Name artist's “just working” statement, his brother also said he’s very certain a joint project will happen in the future, but for now they're in two different lanes of music.
"We can pull off anything together and crush it, but right now I’m just somewhere else and he’s doing his thing,” No Malice mentioned. “I have heard Pusha express that he really wants to do a Clipse album. He’s ready one hundred percent!”
