Omarion Compares Current Career Growth To Beyoncé & Michael Jackson

Omarion Compares Current Career Growth To Beyoncé & Michael Jackson

Keenan Higgins Posted November 27, 2012

With a newfound family in MMG and a fresh new "care package" of music, Omarion is ready to finally become the solo artist that he's envisioned himself to be.

In an interview with Billboard, Maybach O talked about moving from the leader of boyband B2K to a self-confident solo hit-maker, his recently released Care Package EP, and what we should expect from this new era of his career.

Here's how he describes the Omarion of 2012:

"This is the real grown-up me. This is that age when Beyoncé had 'Crazy in Love' and Michael Jackson had 'Thriller'—when Justin Timberlake had 'FutureSex/LoveSounds.' I feel like I'm at that age."—Omarion

He's also banking on the fans transitioning with him as his music matures and develops, stating, "I hope that they hear the emotion and take away one thing, and that's that I'm coming. I'm going to continue to create music. I'm here, and that's what it is."
