Oprah Injured From Tyler Perry's Birthday Gift

The woman who made big-time gifting on her talk show an on-air sob fest was on the receiving end of a good intention gone wrong on her special day.

Oprah Winfrey celebrated her 59th birthday this past week on the floor after filmmaker Tyler Perry sent over a massive flower delivery that had O suffering a back injury after trying to arrange her floral gift.

“In bed with an ice pack most of today. Moved a bushel of roses sent by @tylerperry and sprained a back muscle," she tweeted to her 16-millon followers.

But it's all love. Perry took to his Facebook to express his apologies, "I feel so bad,” he wrote Wednesday. “I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry.”

He then revealed what he would give the famous personality for the big 6-0. “Next year I'm sending her one rose.”

The impromptu injury actually didn't stray far from Winfrey's original born day plans. “No plans to leave p.j.'s all day,” she wrote earlier that day, posting a pic of her in loungewear and grubbing with long-time boyfriend Stedman Graham.
