Women rocked Forbes’ annual 100 Most Powerful Celebrities list this year with media mogul extraordinaire Oprah Winfrey leading the pack.
The list—determined by a celebrity’s yearly earnings, along with the number of times his/her name appears on screen or in print and social media power—pit O at the top despite an $88 million dip in her earnings of $165 million and business fumbles with her Oprah Winfrey Network experiencing a sharp decline in ratings.
Still, her Harpo Productions spin-offs including The Rachael Ray Show and Dr. Oz raked in the mulah, along with her eye-popping and timely interviews with such subjects as Rihanna and Usher on OWN's Next Chapter. Her portfolio also includes a stake in Sirius Radio and O magazine.
Also on the female-dominated top 10 list are Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Madonna, Taylor Swift and Ellen DeGeneres. Who run the world? Girls. – Nina Marrissa (@NinaMarrissa)
