Scared money don't make no money and the risks Oprah Winfrey has taken this year has landed her in the top spot of Forbes' Highest-Paid Celebrities List.
According to Forbes, Winfrey earned an estimated $165 million between May 2011 and May 2012 with her hand in shows like Dr. Phil, The Rachael Ray Show and The Dr. Oz show, not to mention her magazine O and satellite radio station. Then, of course, there's her struggling OWN network that tries to boost ratings with shows like Oprah's Next Chapter and Oprah's Lifeclass.
Transformers director Michael Bay came in second place, with a cool $5 million less than O, followed shortly after by the only Hip Hop figure on the list, Dr. Dre at No. 5. His estimated $110 million didn't come from music sales but his lucrative Beats By Dre headphones line. Top-notch movie directors Steven Spielberg (War Horse and The Adventures of Tintin) and Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) rounded out the list in the third and fourth spots, respectively.
