An Italian lawmaker is in hot water after an orangutan remark.

Roberto Calderoli made the orangutan remark, comparing Italy’s first black Minister Cecile Kyenge to an animal.

Calderoli’s orangutan remark sparked outrage among Italians. He is quoted as saying: “I love animals… but when I see the pictures of Kyenge I cannot but think of – even if I’m not saying she is one – the features of an orangutan.”
