The Crime: Federal weapons charges
The Time: A year and a day
Shortly after Tip was arrested for trying to buy several guns just hours before the 2007 BET Awards, police found an arsenal of guns that made his Atlanta home look like it was stationed in Afghanistan. He faced 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for his actions. But he accepted a plea bargain that forced him to serve just a year in prison—which he recently finished. Not ideal, but not exactly a bad deal at all, if you ask us.
