Papoose And N.O.R.E. Discuss The State Of New York Hip-Hop On ‘Rotten Apple’

/ October 26, 2013

Equipped with commentary from Hot 97’s own Ebro, Papoose and N.O.R.E. collaborate for a new track – that sheds light on New York’s city’s current place in hip-hop. Both rappers are from different boroughs of the city, yet seamlessly connect over the hard hitting production. Despite recent gains in the genre by newcomers such as A$AP Rocky, Ferg, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson and others, the two express their disapproval with the city’s current scene.

“We supposed to support independent artists // be proud of our city and stop playing this garbage,” raps N.O.R.E. Papoose is set to include “Rotten Apple” on his upcoming Underrated mixtape.
