Pardon The Introduction: Sophia Bastian Is 'Breaking' Into Music

NY-bred Sophia Bastian has a vintage sound with a young beat to it. Although hailing from a musical background in classic blues and soul—she went to school for Jazz —she hasn't given up her love for hip-hop. She's even took advantage of the opportunity to open for The Roots.

"Breaking" is Sophia's lead track off of her debut release on iTunes. For the video, the unsigned artist collaborated with music video director Ian Skalski from Los Angeles.

Her upcoming EP, Juvenile Blues, is due out early this fall.
