It was only yesterday that we heard the exciting news that Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has joined the X-Men. Wait, it gets better after the jump!

According to Variety, Dinklage will play the main villain in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, squashing rumors that he would be playing Alpha Flight member, Puck.

No further details have been confirmed as yet, but with the robotic Sentinels seeming likely to appear, Variety muses that Dinklage is playing inventor, Boliver Trask.

Another idea is that the diminutive dynamo could play Toad as the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. He led a pretty awesome fight to both the X-Force and X-Factor. What we do know is that the film will take place across two timelines, as the X-Men seek to avert a nightmarish future in which mutants are rounded up and shunted into a series of concentration camps.

This film is building up to be another feature in Marvel’s cap of classy comeback cinema.

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Sir Ian McKellen and will be in theaters July 2014.
