Kanye West is the king of the exclusive spectacle.
The producer/rapper, who is reportedly still putting the finishing touches on his sixth solo album Yeezus, invited a select few media types, industry execs and fellow artists to hear his new project, set for release in seven days.
Yeezus has been shrouded in secrecy, yet Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg heard the project in full. Check his recap of the listening, and thoughts on the album above.
"If you want Late Registration Kanye West, this may not be the album for you," says Rosenberg. "If you want 808s & Heartbreak Kanye West—not the album for you. If you want My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy—not the album for you. If you want anti-establishment, angry-Black-punk-rock-fighting-the-system, then this is the album for you.”
