This is truly the year of Pharrell. The Virginia-native’s uplifting melody “Happy,” recently became number one on the musical boards and was deemed the “top-charting Oscar nominated song in more than a decade,” Billboard reports.

The melody is listed for best original song and Skateboard P will perform it at this year’s Academy Awards. The last tune to garner this title was Eminem’s gritty “Lose Yourself,” which won the Oscar statuette in 2003 and “spent 12 weeks at No. 1 in late 2001 and early 2002,” Billboard writes.

Catch the 86th Annual Academy Awards on March 2.
