Pharrell has yet another gig to be happy about. The Grammy-winning, Oscar-nominated producer/rapper/singer has been summoned to be a coach on the seventh season of NBC’s The Voice, E! News reports. “It’s been a huge year for Pharrell, with recognition for his contribution in the world of music — the Despicable Me franchise soundtracks, his Oscar-nominated song ‘Happy’ and his Grammy-winning collaboration with Daft Punk on the breakout dance hit ‘Get Lucky.’ His dominance in record sales in 2014, coupled with his incomparable accomplishments in the world of fashion and design, make him an irresistible addition to The Voice family,” said Paul Telegdy, the network’s President of Alternative and Late Night Programming. The Voice took to Twitter to alert fans of the newest member to their cast while the “Happy” man gave an excited response:

The Voice isn’t stopping at Pharrell. More additions to the coaching staff will be announced at a later date. The show has tapped big-name stars like Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira as judges.
