Pharrell is up for seven nominations at the 2014 Grammys, but he's already won his first one and he did it solo. Skateboard P took home the Grammy for Best Producer, Non-Classical. He was up against Rob Cavallo, Dr. Luke, Ariel Rechtshaid and Wilco rocker Jeff Tweedy. This is his second win in the category. He also won in 2004 as The Neptunes with co-producer Chad Hugo.
Pharrell had an incredible 2013 helping put together two of the year's biggest hits -- Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." The VIBE cover guy will be battling himself, so to speak, later in the night as both songs are nominated in the Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance categories. He is also up has two Album of the Year nominations after helping produce Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid, M.A.A.D City and Daft Punk's Random Access Memories.
Others who have won the Best Producer, Non-Classical award in the past include Rick Rubin, Dr. Dre, Babyface, Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, as well as the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and Mark Ronson.
