No Zen Master in Brooklyn. Phil Jackson rejected the Brooklyn Nets coaching job Tuesday night, according to multiple reports.
The Nets released interim coach P.J. Carlesimo after a disappointing first-round exit in the playoffs, and it's no wonder Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov would look to make a splash with the perpetually available Jackson. And while it's no secret Jackson longs to coach in New York, he's more likely interested in the team across the river - the Knicks.
Jackson flirted with coming back to the Lakers earlier this season, although the interest was not mutual. Jackson may have also been offered control of the Toronto Raptors, but the 11-time champion will most likely pick and choose the ideal job if he indeed wants to return to the bench.
