Pleasure P Rocked With Child Molestation Allegations; Singer Denies Claims

Singer Pleasure P, who disbanded from the successful group Pretty Ricky to pursue a solo career in 2007, is being rocked by rumors this week.

Even though he just received word of his first Grammy nomination as a solo artist, it's being overshadowed by a child molestation scandal.

According to court documents leaked to the web recently, the singer
(real name: Marcus Romone Cooper) was a defendant in a child
molestation case that took place in early 2006, and has been trying to
keep it quiet ever since.

A woman named Laura Goldstein (@AGoldsteinGirl),
who claims to be Pleasure P's attorney's daughter, brought the scandal
to light via a series of Twitter posts, photos of court documents, and
admission from trial witnesses.

In the court documents, a man named Marcus Cooper was apparently
restrained from unsupervised visits with a 3-year-old boy and
4-year-old girl after inappropriately touching them.

Goldstein claims the singer had hired her father to get the records
"sealed" and to file an injunction against members of Pretty Ricky,
barring them from discussing the case. However, she claims he never
paid her father and started threatening her family.

"My dad was being paid to cover it up, but they owe my dad a lot of
money and now they don't want to pay him," she wrote on Twitter. "I
first overheard my dad say that it was someone famous, but I found out
who he was talking about. This guy Pleasure P got kicked out of a group
because he was hiding that he was a child molester ... His managers or
whatever hired my dad to keep it quiet, so he could get a record deal.

"The guy, Pleasure P, molested a 4-yr-old [sic] child and was about
to molest another one when the police came and saved the child ... Now,
the truth is out. They're threatening my family and telling my dad he's
going to get sued," another tweet read.

Pleasure P has released a public statement denying the
validity of the claims, calling them "100% false" and saying the
alleged leaked documents "forgeries."

"All of the recent rumors and accusations that are being circulated
about me are 100% false. They are disgusting and vile; and they are
being spread by individuals with their own sick agendas," Pleasure P
said in a public statement. "The purported documents that are also
being circulated are forgeries. I have never met or known anyone by the
name of 'AGoldstein' or Laura Goldstein or Ashley Goldstein, which I
believe are fictitious names. I have never been represented by an
attorney named Goldstein. For someone to go to such depths to
assassinate my character and slander my good name is truly criminal. My
attorneys are investigating this matter and will take all necessary and
appropriate action to protect my name and reputation."

Members of his former group Pretty Ricky have not commented on the
rumors. However, the group, via a statement, did confirm that Pleasure
P was booted from the group as revealed by Goldstein.

"Unfortunately due to Pleasure P's lawyer filing an injunction
against us from speaking, we are not at liberty to speak about the
case," the group said in a statement on their official website.
"However we will let it be known that we did kick him out of the group,
he did not leave on his own free will."

The the "Notice of Hearing" papers from the 2006 trial, it's been
revealed that the subject of molestation was actually Cooper's own
nephew.

Pretty Ricky member, Spectacular, replied to one of Goldstein's
tweets, shocked by the revelation of the scandal. "WOW! Who told you
that!?? That was sealed," he wrote.

A source that claimed to be close to he family send a letter over to gossip website, NecoleBitchie.com, shedding more light into the case.

"When he was 16 going on 17, he was left alone with his niece and
nephew with whom he touched and penetrated with fingers on several
occasions. His aunt noticed his niece complaining of her genital area
hurting, when asked what happened she replied 'Uncle Marcus keeps
touching me and he hurt me'. Of course Marcus (Pleasure P) denied the
allegations, but the doctor found signs that she had vaginal damage and
tearing. Charges were then pursued by the State of Florida," a portion
of the letter read.

"The incident happened in 2004 going into 2005. He served like 8
months rehab and community service by time the trial came up. Marcus
accepted a plea with the State of Florida and Joseph Smith, who is the
caregiver of the niece and nephew which Marcus 'Pleasure P' Cooper
molested. (sic) These are not the only papers filed against him. These
are the first of 3. As part of the plea agreement Marcus plead guilty
and paid an 'undisclosed amount' to remain free and have the records
'sealed' and on the family level for them to remain quiet and not to
speak publicly about it."
