Flyers, tattoos, flowers and obituaries usually preserve the memories of those who have passed, but for Plies, Trayvon Martin is worth more that. The Florida rapper solidified the slain teen's memory and legacy with a new fist-sized golden pendant hanging from his neck.
"I wanted to make sure I had the homie around my neck at all times," Plies said of the piece. "He impacted my life just that much... Trayvon, you forever live on."
While some may question the sincerity of the gesture, it's not too left-field since he did a "We Are Trayvon Martin" tribute song and video back in April 2012. Consider the purchase an extension of his mourning.
