Precious Director Nominated for DGA

Lee Daniels keeps the Precious awards nominations coming. The director put himself in elite company by being nominated for a Directors Guild of America award. This marks the first time an African American has been nominated for a DGA. Daniels is nominated alongside James Cameron – Avatar, Kathryn Bigelow – The Hurt Locker, Jason Reitman – Up In The Air, and Quentin Tarantino – Inglourious Basterds. The winner will be named at the 62st Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 30, 2010, to be held in Los Angeles. — Jamal Munnerlyn
