Chi-town bred Grant Harris, better known as GOLDHOUSE, heralds in tight electro-pop for Gen Now.

While his father is a classically trained pianist, whom played in punk bands all through high school, Harris opted to go off to college only to drop out after a year and a half and pursue music full time. “I sort of got stung by music when I got to college,” Harris recalls. “Once I was sitting by myself in a dorm room and making music all on my own, learning about production and taking control of every aspect of it, I knew that this was what I wanted to do with my life.”

After gaining acclaim for his remixes of tracks like Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” and Lady Gaga’s “Applause” GOLDHOUSE is breaking into the sonic spotlight. “The goal is to take classic melodies and vocals and roll them into a very modern production inspired by what’s going on in EDM today,” Harris continues, “and I think by doing everything on my own, it definitely helps turn that into something cohesive and strong.”

The lead single “FeelGood” off his latest EP, ‘Back to Life,’ (re-released on Priority Label Group/Capitol Records) is aptly titled. The sun-kissed, beat-laden production finds a balance between radio-friendly with timeless vocals and ready for the club with its infusion of bolstering bass.
