Premiere: Prince’s 3RDEYEGIRL Weathers The Storm With ‘Whitecaps’

Iyana Robertson / September 1, 2014

3RDEYEGIRL is prepared to weather the storm on their new track “Whitecaps.” As an electric guitar and drums are accented with a bass for a somber, yet optimistic scene, drummer Hannah Ford holds down the lead vocals. With a later background vocal assist from Prince, the track becomes worthy of a trance-like sway, as spirits are lifted in spite of a love lost.

“Whitecaps” appears on 3RDEYEGIRL’s upcoming album, PLECTRUMELECTRUM. The release will run in conjunction with Prince’s solo album Art Official Age which features the tracks “Clouds” and “U Know.” Both projects are slated to hit shelves on Sept. 29.
