After more than a year in the shadows, Christian Burkholder is ready to step back into the limelight. With more than a decade of experience to his name, Burkholder has come back in a big way, reigniting his project Swiss American Federation, otherwise known as S.A.F.

A product of ‘80s and ‘90s dance culture, Burkholder quickly rose to the forefront of American dance culture as Christian B, and has since been an influential figure in its success for over ten years. Debuting his remixing abilities in 2001 for Enya’s “Only Time,” it was then that his long and prestigious career of creating hit after hit began. Years later under the moniker of S.A.F., his first original track, “Mon Amour D’arabique” was released and quickly fell onto the radar of both producer John Digweed and KISS FM London. Never to be outdone, S.A.F. continued to grow its radio presence by releasing the dance floor anthem, “Live So Free” featuring Nicole Alden, which quickly rose to the UK club charts at #11 and further solidified S.A.F.’s skill and prowess.

Nearly every facet of electronic music has at one point benefited from Burkholder’s knowledge and experience, continually receiving support from electronic music all-stars such as Steve Aoki, Roger Sanchez, and Swedish House Mafia. Burkholder also has served as a tastemaker on some of America’s earliest dance music stations, such as Groove Radio and KISS FM, continuing today with his very own podcast Full Frequency. To say his expertise is far reaching would be an understatement, as Burkholder has had his productions and remixes on over 20 million records in total. Whether it has been through S.A.F.’s own unforgettably unique dance floor hits, to helping create Billboard chart-topping singles for artists such as Nelly Furtado, Basement Jaxx, and Far East Movement, Burkholder is a jack-of-all-trades.

His latest hit comes as S.A.F.’s brand new single, “Feel This Way,” which features fellow Los Angeles natives Gamble & Burke. A punching progressive house sound, the track arrives just in time for festival season. “Feel This Way” serves as a perfect display of Burkholder’s talent, featuring a blend of raw riffs, dancing synths and bouncing bass lines. Gamble & Burke’s smooth and elegant vocals glide over the track, drawing the audience in and sweeping them up into the melody. Out June 9th on Crowd Records, S.A.F. approaches “Feel This Way” with a no holds barred attitude, delivering an emotionally charged summer anthem wrapped in an expertly produced and sophisticatedly designed package.
