President Barack Obama has officially entered his second term, one day early from the monumental Inauguration Ceremony going down tomorrow.
According to Huffington Post, Obama held a quiet ceremony in the Blue Room of the White House, and took the official oath of office at approximately 11:55 a.m. Obama was joined by family and several members of the media.
The reason for the premature swearing-in is based on a Constitutional requirement that the president begins his second term by noon on Jan. 20th. However, the big day tomorrow is far from called off. A second ceremony will happen on Monday, when he takes the oath of office in front of thousands of people at the U.S. Capitol.
Congratulations BO, from us a VIBE!
