TCU Quarterback Casey Pachall left the Horned Frogs earlier this year, with the hope that once the QB finishes rehab, he would be able to return. Now that the QB finished rehab for alcohol abuse, Pachall has returned to TCU with hopes of contributing next season.
Pachall was arrested for drunk driving and left school on October 9th of last year. The QB finishes rehab having played in only four games for the Horned Frogs, who limped to a 7-6 record in 2012, their first in the Big 12 conference. The QB Pachall finishes rehab a year after failing a team-administered drug test and admitting to police that he smokes marijuana.
Pachall is lucky in that he is a junior, and should be able to compete for the team next year. TCU still made a bowl game while their QB finished rehab, losing to Michigan State in the Buffalo Wild Wings bowl. Knowing that your team only has a shot if your QB finishes rehab may be a bummer for TCU fans, but at least Pachall is now (hopefully) healthy.
