Quentin Tarantino Plans 'Rewritten History' Trilogy

Quentin Tarantino Plans 'Rewritten History' Trilogy

VIBE Pop Culture Posted February 11, 2013

Could QT's trilogy be similar to the El Mariachi saga? Let us know what you think after the break.

The BAFTA-winning script writer said that his most beloved films - Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained - are part of a trilogy.

They were both films about rewriting the wrongs of history and he was now considering what to make his third and final effort about.

Quentin revealed to reporters after winning the prize for Best Original Screenplay at the BAFTAs on Sunday night, "This [rewritten history theme] begs a trilogy, it begs to have a third movie on this theme." "I haven't decided about what yet, but I wouldn't be surprised."

Tarantino did not divulge any further details about his proposed follow-up, but he is well-known for teasing fans with plans for sequels that never make it to the production stage. He once suggested a prequel to Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, featuring John Travolta and Michael Madsen as brothers Vincent and Vic Vega, and in 2011 admitted that his proposal for Kill Bill 3 was unlikely to ever hit the big screen.

Bringing that same idea of a mash-up following a storyline, who would be the tie-in character between the trilogy's inspired works? Actor Christoph Waltz starred in both Basterds and Django, it would be a shame to not see them pull off a trifecta.
