R. Kelly Recovering From Emergency Throat Surgery

R&B singer R. Kelly was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency throat surgery this week.

He just completed the U.S. leg of his worldwide tour ‘Love Letter,’ though it is currently unknown when he will be back on the road.

Kelly is currently at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital after having an abscess on one of his tonsils drained. According to publicity agency, 42 West, Kelly saw a specialist for his severe sore throat early Tuesday before being rushed to the hospital. As of now, his publicist, Allan Mayer, says that the singer will be “laid up indefinitely.”

R. Kelly just recently made headlines for the $2.9 million foreclosure lawsuit on his house last week. We pray for his speedy recovery. —Connie T.
