Darryl ‘DMC’ McDaniels is about to add a new title to his already stacked resumé - comic book publisher.
Under the penname Darryl Makes Comics, DMC will fuse authentic 80’s hip-hop culture into an upcoming 48-page graphic novel. The book will focus on b-boys, graffiti artists, and hip-hop culture alongside comic book themes. The story will follow Darryl, a superhero fighting justice in an alternate universe.
“This graphic novel will entertain, educate, and inspire all who enter into the DMC universe and empower all cultures the same way I did with my music,” DMC says in his Kickstarter video.
Darryl has created a team to help push his vision, including Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez as editor-in-chief and Riggs Morales as senior editor, plus more of the comic book industry’s finest minds.
