Actress Rashida Jones is trading her Ann Perkins' character for a new one slated at the houses of HBO.
According to Deadline, the Parks & Recreation star is set to leave the NBC comedy this season, and will team up with her longtime writing and producing partner Will McCormack to produce Claws.
The show is described as a "midnight-dark workplace dramedy-noir about a nail salon in Florida and the strange, dangerous women who work there." This does sound like a fresh and innovative program to run on HBO. While there are no exact plot details available yet, we will be keeping our eyes out for casting and more as it develops.
Claws will be the third show that the Celeste and Jesse Forever duo have sold this year. Eliot Laurence from The Big Gay Sketch Show will also bring his writing talents to the show, and will co-executive produce.
