We watched Tiny prepare for her Alzheimer’s benefit all season. Last night, her hard work finally came to fruition. Tiny and T.I. created an organization called For The Love of Our Fathers. Both of their dads have suffered from the disease so the money raised at the benefit went toward Alzheimer’s research. Toya hosted the event while Busta Rhymes made a guest appearance via pre-recorded message, and B.o.B, Kandi, The OMG Girlz and more performed⎯including Tiny for the first time in five years.
Tiny meant well with her performance but the benefit could have done without it (it was really lackluster). However, the best part of the night was when Tiny’s dad and brother performed with his band. It was bittersweet to watch because Tiny’s father is severely affected by the disease and didn’t perform as well as he probably did before but you could see that he still had a passion for music and it’s understandable where Tiny gets it from. Tiny eventually joined her father and brother to finish the song.
T.I. surprised Tiny at the end of the night by getting up on stage to express how important this event is to both of them and gifted his boo with a new car. Overall they raised $10,000 for Alzheimer’s research. Tiny and Toya both made huge professional strides throughout season two of Tiny & Toya, which was fun to watch. It’s still not finalized whether season three is a go or not but hopefully it will return. Despite the hate that these women get, anyone who really pays attention to the show could learn a lot about friendship and overcoming adversity.
Do you see yourself or loved ones in Tiny and Toya? Should they return for season three?
