Red Bull Music Academy and Richie Hawtin Take Detroit Movement’s Main Stage

/ April 17, 2013

Big news for today for those of you planning to attend the 2013 Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit this summer: Red Bull Music Academy is taking over the main stage and has announced techno legends Richie Hawtin, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson as headliners with a live performance by Squarepusher.

That’s not all, this year’s Movement festival will also feature a stage supported by Beatport and for the first time ever the Electric Forest Festival will team up with local Detroit Electronic music station, Paxahau, to bring in headliners Andy C., Brodinksi, and Big Gigantic. Also added to that line-up are up-and-comers GRiZ, Gramatic, and The M Machine (live).

The Beatport stage includes even more big name acts with favorites Moby (dj set), Masters at Work, and John Digweed headlining.

With such a stacked lineup, we can’t wait for Memorial Day to get here as this year’s Movement festival looks to be one for the books. Tickets are still on sale, and be sure to check back with VIBE for all of the latest festival news.
