According to Tambay over at Shadow And Act, Godzilla reboot is unnecessary, but our hope is that Gareth Edwards will make a believe out of them all.

After the Monsters director showed us a sneak peek at the upcoming Godzilla film, which is currently in motion in Vancouver, British Columbia, we’re now hearing more about the cast of characters in the picture.

Variety is reporting that actor Richard T. Jones (The List, Hawaii Five-0) has boarded the picture that already boasts Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston as principle players. While Legendary Pictures is mum on the plot details and character assignments, Jones has had experience playing both the baddie and the good guy.

To ask the question that Tambay posed on his site: Do you think that Richard will succumb to Hollywood’s notorious “brotha rule“…?

With shooting on the way and with a May 2014 release date eyed, does this movie intrigue you?
