Ricky Rozay has learned from the best.
His Maybach Music Empire wasn't an overnight success story. For years, Ross put in the ground work to establish his business and brand as a top contender in hip-hop.
This week, the self-made entrepreneur covers Billboard magazine, along with label signee Wale. While discussing his carefully orchestrated moves, the Miami native credits Jay-z and Lil Wayne for setting the blueprints for hungry upstarts to follow.
"I’ve most definitely been a fan of Hov and his whole movement. He gave a blueprint to a lot of young entrepreneurs, as well as Wayne, with how active Wayne is with artists," Ross told Billboard." There’s a lot of different approaches, but at the end of the day, we’ve just got to be hands-on and walk our own path."
Ross' forthcoming album God Forgives, I Don't was recently delayed and its release date remains up in the air.
