Hip-hop has been on the receiving end of many emergency calls as of late.

Given the health related deaths of MCs like Big Pun and Heavy D in the past, more rappers’ are doing all they can to stay in shape without cramping on their hustles. Last October, Rick Ross suffered several seizures while flying. The rapper/ Maybach Music Group CEO later blamed “lack of sleep” for the attacks.

Consequently, Lil Wayne showed seizure-like symptoms while airborne that same month, only to suffer a series of seizures this month that reportedly left him in critical condition.

VIBE recently caught up with Rozay on the set of John Legend’s “Who Do We Think We Are” video shoot and asked the bawse his thoughts on Weezy’s most recent health scare.

“Yeah, [Lil Wayne], that’s the homie, I had a few words with Birdman and it’s all positive,” he said on Wayne’s status.

Given his own battle with balancing work and life, Ross said it’s about prioritizing. “It’s just all about putting yourself first and we always reiterate that with each other: ‘Get rest,'” he said. “Sometimes, your desire can overwhelm the things you know that are right for you.”

He also said that he has spoken to the Young Money leader directly. “We touched basis and I send my love and it’s all good. The homie feeling much, much better.’
