Diamonds are a girl's best friend, and Rihanna is no exception to the rule. While backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this past Friday, the Bajan beauty revealed that she would be dropping a new single titled "Diamonds" in the next few days.
The 24-year-old Talk That Talk singer sat down with New York’s Z100 Morning Show host Elvis Duran, who said he would be premiering RiRi's new single on the station this Wednesday (Sept. 26) at 8AM EST.
"Am I sad, or am I dancing?" Duran asked Rihanna about the new track. "What is the song gonna do to me?"
"You're not sad, or dancing. You're happy and hippie," Rihanna replied, before clarify that the new song from her upcoming seventh studio album is "laid back, but hopeful," a departure from some of her bad girl tracks.
"It's a record that gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it," she said. "It's about love and the gears are a little different than what people would expect, I think. I'm excited to surprise them sonically."
