Rihanna smacks Cera, then things get crazy. The hilarious talents of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg reunite again for their directorial debut This Is The End, and its red-band trailer dropped this week.
The film finds funnyman Jay Baruchel and a whole host of other actors and well-known personalities being swept up in the apocalypse as they attend a party at James Franco's house. The concept has the potential to inspire a new brand of comedy where real life talent embeds themselves inside canon fodder. The cast list is impressive to say the least, featuring a horde of Rogenites including Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson and Jason Segel.
The trailer just wreaks of comedic classics Superbad and Pineapple Express, and promises plenty in the way of fire and brimstone for lovers of end-of-days films. Speaking of apocalypse films, This Is The End competes with the other apocalypse comedy, The Word's End, which is the final 'blood and ice cream' installment of Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's trilogy.
Michael Cera, Rihanna, Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, Mindy Kaling and Martin Starr also star in the picture that is due for release June 12, 2013.
