Rockets Head Coach Kevin McHale Mourns Loss of His Daughter

Houston Rockets coach, Kevin McHale, has been on a leave of absence since Nov. 10 to be with family while his daughter was battling the chronic autoimmune disease, Lupus.

Unfortunately, this past Saturday, Kevin’s daughter, Alexandra “Sasha” McHale lost her battle to lupus at the age of 22.

The Rockets owner Leslie Alexander released a statement to Kevin and his family:

“I extend my deepest condolences to Kevin and Lynn for the loss of their beautiful daughter, Sasha, on Saturday afternoon, Kevin and Lynn are loving and dedicated parents who will need our continued support throughout this very difficult time. Our entire organization is mourning the McHale family’s loss and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”

VIBE send its condolences to Kevin McHale and his family in their time of grievence.

It’s unclear when McHale is set to return.
