The creepy feature Rosemary's Baby which starred Mia Farrow caused quite a stir back in 1968. Now, NBC is planning a re-telling of the Ira Levin's novel and has attached Zoe Saldana to spawn the demon.
Bob Greenblatt announced back in July last year that his network was going to create a TV miniseries adapting Roman Polanski's original horror flick.
The project was unattached without a star for awhile, but word on the e-streets from Variety says that Guardians of the Galaxy star will be the one having demonspawn problems.
Saldana has also signed on to produce in the tale where she will play a young wife who moves in with her husband to a Paris apartment. "Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin's infamous novel," NBC miniseries chief Quinn Taylor said. "With Zoe leading the cast under the direction of Agnieszka Holland, this reimagined event mini-series is off to a great start."
The miniseries plans on hitting American small screens later this year. In the meantime, Saldana joins Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and Bradley Cooper later this summer.
