Rush Limbaugh isn’t feeling the trilled-out Beyoncé. On his radio segment, The Rush Limbaugh Show last night (Mar. 20), the outspoken host expressed his dislike for the Houston native’s new songs “"Bow Down/I Been On".” Regarding the rated R content, Limbaugh mentioned that Bey's strayed away from the female empowerment tracks she recorded with Destiny’s Child and as a solo artist.
"[Destiny's Child] songs were attempts to inspire young women not to take any grief from men. She's done a 180," said Limbaugh. "Beyoncé, now having been married, having been impregnated and giving birth to Blue Ivy…she's got a new song, 'Bow, Down Bitches'… Beyoncé is now saying, 'Go ahead and put up with it!'"
Limbaugh continued to say the advice Beyoncé is giving to women is to “go ahead and put up with it” due to the fact that “she got married, she married a rich guy. She's even calling herself Mrs. Carter on the tour…She has shelved Beyoncé…”
Maybe Limbaugh took the lyrics way out of context, mistaking Beyoncé’s words for women to “bow down” to their men. Listen to the three-minute audio clip above.
