The next step in gaming evolution is HERE. Are you ready?! Find out more about it after the break.
Journey is a stunningly, dazzling video game that resonated with gamers all across the globe. The collaborative effort between Sony's Santa Monica Studio and indie darling, That Game Studio, has allowed us a deeper look into the visual world of puzzle/strategy games and is a must-play for those who have yet to get hands-on experience with the title. Realizing that all this dopeness cannot be contained, BLUECANVAS Magazine, in conjunction with Journey's Art Director Matt Nava, bring Journey to life in an interestingly new way.
The book, which will be available this week (Sept. 24th), features an augmented reality component that you can view above. Entitled The Art of Journey, the book provides an insider's view into the stylistic influences, narrative functions, and game design goals that shaped the final look of the game. Anxious readers will discover how Journey's landscapes, cut-scenes and the much beloved "robed traveler" all came to be.
The Art of Journey will come bound as an embossed hardcover book filled with amazing concept art, intricate pencil drawings, and 3-D models printed in full color on art-quality paper.
