Actor/poet/musician Saul Williams stopped by New York's Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning show to chat with radio personality to talk about his new play.. The two discussed the much talked about Tupac musical Holler If You Hear Me, which opened June 18.
Holler If You Hear Meisn't a play, Saul said. "It's a fiction. Tupac actually wrote a lot of fiction in his rhymes," Saul said. "There's a lot of stories that he told that are not his own. And, so our writer, Todd Kreidler pulled a lot of stories from Pac stories," Saul said.
Holler If You Hear Metells the story of an ex-con who makes a positive change in his life and community, Williams said.
Williams also discusses Afeni Shakur's involvement in the musical and Pac's revolutionary upbringing.
