Keeping up with the Kardashians requires a high level of tolerance for negative press but it seems a recent story has stirred some of the Klan's members enough to officially debunk the rumors themselves.
Earlier this week, Kourtney Kardashian was hit with a paternity suit by male model Michael Girgenti who claimed to be the father of her first son, Mason, with beau Scott Disick. Girgenti said that he had unprotected sex with Kourt after meeting her three years ago at a photo shoot and saw a resemblance to himself in the three-year-old but the mother/ business mogul confirmed it was not true.
“After three-and-a-half years of rumours and lies being spread by an individual I met briefly at a photo shoot, I am setting the record straight that Scott is Mason’s father,” Kourtney told E! News in a statement.
She continues, “While it saddens me to have to address these ridiculous lies – especially when the truth was never in doubt – this story must be put to rest. This individual has been selling false and fabricated stories to the tabloids for years about Kourtney Kardashian and her son, Mason. Scott Disick is Mason's father."
Kourt, Scott and Mason were spotted leaving the hospital after getting the DNA results (above). When the story broke, Kourtney's attorney Todd Wilson slammed the allegations from the beginning.
"We have not seen the reported court filing, but we are informed that this individual has been seeking to get paid to publish his ridiculous pleading. His claims are absurd and this is simply another shameful attempt to gain publicity and profit from fictional stories about my client," he said. "Scott Disick is Mason’s father."
