Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo was hospitalized yesterday after become violently ill from complications associated with diabetes.
The artist has dealt a long battle with the disease for 11 years.
Shawty Lo's manager Johnnie Cabbell confirmed what was originally a rumor on MediaTakeOut.com about the rapper's condition.
"He suffers from diabetes and had to seek immediate medical attention, although he is now resting and doing well," said Cabbell.
Best known for his 2008 hit "Dey Know," Lo will be back to making his rounds soon, performing at shows and making appearances.
The artist recently confirmed that "G-Unit" will be powering overhead costs for his D4L Records label, which is 50's new "50/50" deal. --Natelege Whaley
