Two fans were shot outside of French Montana's tour bus after an unidentified shooter opened fire following the rapper's performance at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia. One victim of the drive-by, a 27-year-old male, was killed after a blow to the stomach, while another is in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder. Both men were reported fans of French, who were hanging outside of the venue when the shooting took place.
According to reports, police have already begun an investigation, questioning 25 people in total including French and his entourage. Three people were arrested for gun possession. Reports also
indicate that someone opened fire on the drive-by shooter from inside of the rapper's tour bus. Police do not believe the shooting was intended for French, and neither victim had any personal connections
This shooting eerily follows a drive-by attempt made on Rick Ross in Florida on Jan 28. French, who was with Ross at the time of the incident, told MTV News that it made him more aware.
"I was with him that night. It was his birthday at Club Liv. I was like the last person that walked him to the car before he drove off," he said. "When it's your birthday, you think everybody loves you. You're not thinking nothing of it ... You just always gotta protect yourself."
No suspects have been named in either shooting at this time.
