After spending extra time in the slammer, it looks like Shyne will be coming home after all... to his native country Belize.
The former Bad Boy rapper has spoken to New York Hot 97 radio host Angie Martinez, and informed that his fight to not be deported to Belize, where he was born, isn't looking too good. Apparently, Shyne's legal team, and Harvard Professor Charles Ogletree's pleas to keep the rapper in New York (where he was raised) is falling on death ears. They're now urging fans to continue to write to Governor Patterson's office for Shyne's pardon.
"Shyne is one of the strongest people I know and he's handling this situation just as I'd expect him to," Angie Martinez said. "It must be frustrating for all of his friends and family; he served his time, and keeps getting all these different dates and conflicting information. But he's a soldier, he's dealing with it." --Linda Hobbs
