Twenty-four hours after Mariah Carey announced that she would be a judge on the new season of American Idol, everyone seems to have an opinion on the competition's newest addition.
From several sources on-staff telling TMZ that MC was a 'nightmare to work with' during her cameo as a mentor in a previous episode to now, Simon Cowell.
Known for being the most outspoken one of the panel, the former A.I. judge says that the "We Belong Together" singer will find her new gig 'difficult.'
"I'm happy for her," Cowell said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "I like Mariah. I think she's going to find it difficult to say no [to contestants] ... she's sweet. I think she's going to be great."
Hopefully, Carey's star power will be enough to revive the 12th go-round of 'Idol' after ratings sharply declined last season.
