Soledad O'Brien is adding another job to her already impressive resume.
The renowned journalist signed an overall deal with HBO this week, and has been added to HBO's signature sports program Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel. O'Brien will join Gumbel on air and will also bring her production company, Starfish Media Group, into the HBO fold. The network will have first look rights at any scripts or programming the company produces.
O'Brien is well known for her series on CNN, Black In America, which focused on the African-American experience in the modern day United States. She also produced Latino In America, and was a fixture on CNN's coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake aftermath in Haiti.
