If you were a fan of last summer's "The Amazing Spider-Man," you know just where the sequel is heading! We have a news update for you after the break.
Andrew Garfield was stupendous in the role of Peter Parker / Spider-Man in Marc Webb's actioner, but certain characters were left out in the cold. However, it looks like Sony is trying to rectify that by introducing longtime Spidey favorites like Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn in the movie's upcoming sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter has reported on the three interested bodies that the studio are looking at for the role of Osborn. According to the site, Brady Corbet ("Melancholia"), Dane DeHaan ("Chronicle"), and Alden Ehrenreich ("Beautiful Creatures") are all up for the role, which has been described as "dark and edgy." With Shailene Woodley set to play Mary Jane, we're not sure if director Marc Webb is going down the familiar path set by Sam Raimi. But after setting a strong precedent with the villain "The Lizard," and Jamie Foxx is confirmed to play "Shocker," it's only a matter of time before they bring "The Green Goblin" back for the big screen.
Who do you think will play Harry Osborn in the webtastic sequel? Let us know in the section below.
