The 2012 Soul Train Awards took place at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino earlier this month, but aired on BET Sunday (Nov. 25) night. The 25th taping of the awards show featured performances from Stevie Wonder, Ne-Yo, John Legend, Keyshia Cole, 2 Chainz, Miguel, Elle Varner and TGT (Tank, Ginuwine, Tyrese.) Despite its star power, the evening was bittersweet. It marked the first Soul Train Awards without its founder Don Cornelius, who passed away in February. In addition to a tribute to the late Cornelius, the Soul Train Awards honored New Edition with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Check out Bobby Brown and co. except their high honor, as well as several of the night’s other highlights and performances in video widget below.
