New Orleans is not a finished project. We knew we wanted to revisit the city and some of the people we met in [the first documentary, When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts]. The good part is that you see the resiliency and the spirit of the people of New Orleans. In less than five years, they had two of the biggest manmade disasters in the history of the United States: The breach of the levees, which put New Orleans 80% underwater, and now this BP oil spill. If anybody really needed to win the Super Bowl, it was the Saints.
