“Is it the shoes?”

The San Antonio Spurs moved one game closer to becoming NBA champions last night, after defeating the Miami Heat 114 -104 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX.

Four players who touched the court in game 5 wore Lebron James’ signature sneakers, amassing 73 points collectively. Only one of those players is named Lebron James. Manu Ginobili, Corey Joseph and Danny Green have all been team Lebron for most of the 2012-2013 season. Both Joseph and Ginobili wear the Lebron X’s, while Green dons the Zoom Soldier 6’s. The Spurs do not appear to be bothered by facing off against James and have continued to wear their versions throughout the series. Each of the players have also admitted to thinking about changing their shoes for the finals but ultimately decided against it for separate reasons.

James has rotated between a few additions of his Nike LeBron X Elite sneakers during the matchup, debuting a dark red colorway in Game 1. According to research firm, SportsOneSource, James has helped Nike generate over $300 million in U.S. retail sales for his signature sneakers this season alone.
